How to turn a Notion page into a Mailchimp campaign

Connect Notion to Mailchimp with Nocadi and move from a shared draft to a tested email campaign with a clear review process.

A Notion page can hold everything your team needs to write a newsletter: research, draft copy, feedback and the final message. Sending that message through Mailchimp introduces another version to maintain.

Nocadi connects the Notion campaign page to a Mailchimp campaign. Mailchimp remains your email platform, while Notion holds the content and campaign workflow. The aim is to make the handoff repeatable without rebuilding the email each time.

Start with the account and audience

Before building the workflow, check that your Mailchimp account supports the campaign content and sending actions you need. Mailchimp notes that API capabilities can depend on your plan. Connect an account and complete a controlled test before promising the workflow to a client or changing a subscription.

Confirm the sender identity and audience inside Mailchimp. Keep subscriber management there. You do not need to move your subscriber list into a Notion content database to draft a campaign.

Connect Mailchimp and Notion

Create your Nocadi organization and connect Notion. Grant access to the intended campaigns database and allow Update content so the app can add campaign properties and write results back.

On the Connections page, connect Mailchimp through OAuth and set a default sender name and address. Add the logo, colors, footer and mailing address in template settings. Attach the Notion database. Nocadi provisions the properties used to control campaigns and display previews and results.

Make the first draft easy to inspect

Create a short campaign page using paragraphs, headings, an image and a single main link. Give it a clear subject and preview text. Select the intended Mailchimp audience from the available destinations.

Choose Ready to send to build the draft. This step creates or updates content; it is separate from the instruction to send to your audience. Open the preview URL and check that the rendered email contains the expected message.

Edit the Notion page if anything needs changing. Treat that page as the writing source and verify the updated platform draft before proceeding. If a content block does not render as expected, simplify it and consult the supported-block list in the guide.

Use a deliberate final check

Send a test email and open it on the devices you normally use. Follow every link. Check image readability, sender details and footer content. Confirm the selected audience again after the content review.

Choose Send to audience only when the final campaign is ready. With required team approvals enabled, Nocadi holds that send for review. An edit after approval requires a fresh review so the approved content and the sending content stay aligned.

Close the loop in the campaign row

After sending, keep the campaign page as the record of the issue. Review the results written back to Notion together with their refresh timestamp. Add one observation about the message and one decision for the next campaign.

The useful test is whether the next issue takes fewer handoffs to prepare. Begin with one small campaign, inspect every stage, and build from there. The full setup and status reference is at nocadi.com/guide. Start a trial at nocadi.com/signup.
